My heritage LO
Here’s the Heritage LO I mentioned on Sunday. The photo is of my husband’s grandparents and aunt, taken in Winnipeg, Canada, where they lived. It was taken during the time when the photos were glued into the plaster frames and then had a felt backing applied. The frame had broken, so I thought I’d scan the photo before fixing it. I didn’t notice until I scanned the photo that his Grandmother is expecting a baby – which would have been his dad; so I was able to date the photo as late fall 1932 since his dad was born in December of 1932. The black background paper and journaling background is from Heather Manning’s Lil’ Black Dress papers kit. I made the “lace” myself using 2 pieces from Kim Broedelet’s Lace and Trim kit. Both of these kits are available at DSO. The photo mat, gloves, and flower are from Glenda Ketchum’s From the Attic Series – I used items from both Mamaw Lucy’s Trunk and A Time for Elegance. Glenda’s items are available at Digitals. The layout was inspired by Lana Rickabugh’s Zelma Neal from the CK’s The Big Idea Book of Heritage Memories pg 14. I had a lot of fun working on this page and plan to send a copy of it to my Father-In-Law for his enjoyment.
