Joy’s Birthday and Other Ramblings

Ok, so I know it’s Tuesday and that I didn’t get back here yesterday to post anything, much less previews. But, I did manage to make it to Walmart, the Mall, the Vet, and back home without Nadya having a meltdown. She even let me make supper (I fed her as soon as we got home and then a couple of other intermittent times while simmering was occurring). I made beef stew for the 1st time ever – and it’s yummy!!! We had plenty left-over, which is great!!! I also played at the DSO chat last night – it was a GREAT time and super hilarious! Kristine was “complaining” about Bunny’s melons! ROFL!!! Mark your calendars for the next one – November 12 – you get a free template and lots of laughs – guaranteed! J

Speaking of free templates, Bunny’s got one on her blog and if you create a LO by Friday and email it to her she’ll send you a $2 off coupon to any product (not classes) in her store…including her new grab bag. Run to her blog, grab the template, leave some love, create a page, and get a coupon…how easy is that?!? Here’s the one I did using Bunny’s template and wordart and Lynn’s new Butterfly Flowers kit (which is still on sale). If you hurry, she’s has the free add-on still up at her blog too.

My freebie for the DSO Color Challenge is done; I just need to finish the previews. So, check back tomorrow as I might have them done and uploaded in time for Humpday! J
I found a new blog with FABULOUS freebies courtesy of Kristine’s Yahoo group that’s dedicated to blog freebies. It’s called Raspberry Road Designs and she has some fantastic kits!!! So, if you’ve got time, stop by and take a peek – and don’t forget to leave a blurb or two if you find something you like – warm fuzzies are always appreciated and the designers work so hard to bring us great stuff and share their talents (ie freebies). I really don’t think Thank You and/or a few kind words is too much to ask. (ok I’ll step off the soap box now)

Today is Joy’s birthday, so to celebrate she’s put her entire store on sale – for over 40% off. You definitely don’t want to miss this! Kristine has a couple of freebie QPs on her blog to help celebrate too! Hmmm…Lynn’s Citrus Sunshine kit is full over bright, cheerful colors as is Kristine’s Funkerella Paper Pack Add-On. Kim’s Bug-ing kit is adorable and she was offering a chance to earn a brag book featuring the kit on her blog. Darlin’ Dar has a new kit too, Sunshiny Day is on sale until November 1. Heather’s still having her grand opening and so her grab bags are available through tomorrow. Hummie has a fabulous Candy Corn themed Halloween freebie kit on her blog – it’s super cute!
