Wow – I’m glad that’s over – at least for now!  I’ve been "learning" how to code my own WordPress templates – yup that means CSS, html, and php – all of which I knew little about.  All in all, I think it has turned out quite nicely!  I started using a guide written by Small Potato over at WPDesigner.com and then rapidly graduated to his 3-part e-book series on designing and coding…although I spent most of my time with the coding section!  I had to do a lot of tweaking and learning along the way to get the layout and design I wanted, but his tutorials were just what I needed to get going – I’ll definitely be keeping them around for future reference!!! However, I am proud to say that my source code and CSS both passed W3 verification – not too bad for a beginner!

I’m so glad DSO is back-up and running again!  Poor Bunny and the rest of the Team spent uncountable hours moving the store to its new home only to have to move it back again!  If you haven’t checked out the new Design and the forums you should!  We’re having weekly blog challenges in addition to our on-going monthly challenges which translates to lots of opportunities to "earn" free goodies!  For instance, Nikki is offering this goodie to anyone who participates in this week’s Dosie (blog challenge).  Then, if you complete all of the challenges this month, you get this – our Traditional Independence Mega (plus all of the posting bonuses from the individual challenges).So, what are YOU waiting for?!!?!?!  And, we have a new member – Jazzy is has joined the DSO Team and will offering her fantastic WordArt for sale!  She’s working on setting up a blog too!  Welcome Jazzy!
