Christmas Lindsay Style12.03.09

Ok, well at least Christmas cards using fabulous ornament digital stamps from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff – in this case Christmas Potpourri. image  Christmas Potpourri - Blue

Christmas Potpourri - Red For both of these cards, I layered ornaments over a 1 x 5.5 inch rectangle in Photoshop.    Then I traced the outlines using my magic wand, filled with white, and applied Superblade Pro filters from the Blading Basket.  I created a 3 pixel outline around the outside of the rectangle, added the sentiments, and applied the same style as the ornaments to both the outline and the sentiment. imageimageThen I printed an entire sheet of ornaments on Georgia Pacific white CS. On my card bases, I used my Filigree background stamp (retired-SU), my small reversing stamp (Stamp A Mania), and metallic inks from Clearsnap and Dr. Ph Martin to create the stamped center without covering the entire base.  I edged the filigree image with my Zebra metallic pens to complete the framed look.  After coloring (Sakura Red Star and Marine Star glitter pens and Copic R27 and R29 markers) and trimming my ornament/sentiment printout outs, I layered them on the card bases with Tombow adhesive.  The “tinsel” is fabulous ribbon that I found at Michaels – I attached it with Fiskars ultra thin glue dots.  The ornaments are attached with 3D-Dots (EK Success), stacked 2 deep to allow them to sit evenly over the tinsel without bending.

If you didn’t arrive here from Lindsay’s blog, make sure you stop there – you never know when she’ll have a fabulous freebie for you and she always has tons of fun and inspiring projects going.  While you’re surfing, be sure to visit the rest of the DT blogs as well – the ladies never cease to amaze me with their talent!

That’s all from me – I hope everyone has a fabulous Thursday and upcoming weekend!
