As most of us know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I have mentioned once or twice about the many survivors I am blessed to know – both friends and family. Naturally, when Laurie released the I Will Survive digital stamp set at Doodle Pantry, I quickly fell in love! Along with fabulous images featuring her birdies and ants, Laurie included several sentiments – all of which are versatile enough to be used for most any occasion.  I thought this quote by Emily Dickinson was perfect and opted to showcase it sans illustration. The card base is SU Whisper White dry embossed with an SU texture plate. I trimmed, embossed, and stenciled the sentiment with my nesties and then created a matching scalloped mat enhanced with fabric paint “pearls”.  The pink ribbon and pearls are from my stash. An easy variation for this card would be to add one or two of Laurie’s adorable birdies in place of the ribbon for a whimsical touch.
