March is here and the wind doth blow!!!! We’re in for another windy day and night – but it looks like our weekend should be ok – a little cooler than we’ve had lately, but no wind!!!  I’m glad too – we’re supposed to burn our brush pile before the Hydro-Seeding and we can’t safely or enjoyably (s’mores anyone?) do that with gale force winds!

There’s lots of news to chat about, starting first with the home front. My baby is crawling!! She’s been crawling for a little over a week now, and is getting more proficient (read faster) with each day…and today she pulled up on the couch.  I had to steady her once she was standing since I didn’t want her to fall backwards and hit the coffee table.  She is so excited with her new found mobility and just loves to explore (read get into everything she can).  She is such a joy and I am so blessed to be home with her.

Now, on to the scrapping front…it’s official!  Nikki has joined the Designers at DSO…her new kits should be in the store soon.  Head on over to her blog and leave her some love and congratulations! As I mentioned last time I blogged, she’s looking for a CT – all the information is on her blog.  What are you waiting for?!?!?

Today was a great day! The weather was nice, Nadya was very talkative and energetic, and one of my LOs was selected as Jenn’s Pixie Pick of the Day over at DSO. That’s the first time any of my “work” has been selected for anything. Jenn so made my day! So, you wanna see?!?! Here it is:

I used a new kit called Simply Spring by ShadowAngel Designs’ (aka Nikki), a sketch by Michelle Herron, WordArt by Tina Chambers, and Jen Caputo’s BendNStack action. I’m quite pleased with the results.

Let’s see, I’ve also been working diligently to complete all the challenges over at DSO so I can get the AWESOME Fairy/Pixie mega kit for February – I only have 1 left. Here’s my Scraplift/By The Numbers/Book of Me challenge entry:

For this scraplift of an angel_p LO, I used another of Nikki’s kits, Always Me, a template by Tracy Drane, and Shalae Tippetts stitching action. The beautiful baby girl is all mine!

How ’bout one more LO for good measure? This one was for the template/quote challenges at DSO:

The template was provided by Terriann Hanks and I used Nikki’s new Oopsie Daisy kit (there’s a free sample of this kit on Nikki’s blog) and modified a vellum style by Erica Hite. My little one was waiting patiently for her Daddy when she discovered the large stuffed doggie sitting by the door. I couldn’t resist capturing her new “friend”…

Speaking of Nikki, she’s is in need of a CT! Yep – Nikki has joined the ranks of my favorite Designers! Yea Nikki!!!!!
